Clash of Value Systems

Social norms are like deeply rooted in our society and it shapes all of our perspectives and attitudes on life. these norms determine how our perspectives affect others around us . For me, social norms help me view and understand other peoples decisions by accepting each others society standards and supporting each other . a time where i noticed the impact of social norms was during an open job interview , they were looking for upbeat more loud, individuals and it made like the other quiet people feel like they weren’t going to even get a chance at the interview. this aligns with my value system because im going to encourage shy people to start becoming more assertive so that everyone gets their chance equally . this will give them a chance to speak up without being scared .a practice i can take on is maybe becoming an advocate for people who want a chance to speak up about topics.
