mainstream gender and sexuality understandings keep up with gender inequality and enforces heteronormativity. It limits the identities of the LGBTQ+ communities and maintains power for those against it. My own understanding is that everyone are equal no matter the gender or identity, we are all equal. This goes against others that believe that people are supposed to be man and wife and are against homosexuality. I have friends who are apart of the LGBTQ+ community and i support them . I would like to know why people who are heavily religious or have deep hatered for others choices have a hard time accepting others being free with themselves?
